Q: What types of ice rentals are available?
A: We offer ice rentals for games, team practices, private training, ringette, figure skating, birthday parties, and special events. We also offer ice time and party room packages for any special events you may wish to host with us.
Q: How do I book an ice time at WKHC?
A: Ice time can be requested by filling out our online inquiry form. If preferred, you may also email manager@wkhc.ca to inquire directly. Our manager will contact you to confirm availabilities and schedule your ice time. Your booking is confirmed once payment is received.
Q: What are your rental rates?
A: Our standard rate is $300/hr, plus GST and group liability insurance. Please inquire for event package rates and recurring ice time packages.
Q: Do you ever have deals on ice times?
A: Yes! We occasionally offer special rates, seasonal promotions, and discounted prices on last-minute openings. If you would like to be notified when we have last-minute deals or promotions, click here to join our Ice Time Alerts list.
Q: How do I know what ice times are available?
A: Our schedule varies each week and availability ranges depending on the season. Please fill out an inquiry form or email us to find out what openings we have for the dates you are interested in.
Q: Do you have a cancellation policy?
A: Yes. All ice times are confirmed upon payment, and we unfortunately do not process refunds for cancelled ice times. Of course, we are human and understand things happen, so please email us immediately if you need to cancel your ice time so we can figure out a solution. Every cancellation will he handled on a case-by-case basis. Thank you for understanding.
Q: Are dressing rooms and spectator areas included?
A: Yes! Every ice time comes with two dressing rooms and access to spectator/viewing areas. You have dressing room access 30 minutes before and after your scheduled ice time. Assigned dressing room numbers will be on the lobby screen as you walk in. You also have access to our scoreboard and sound system for the duration of your ice time.
Q: Can I book the rink for private events or parties?
A: Yes! We offer ice rentals for private/special events. Party packages are also available and include access to our designated party room. Please note that depending on your rental time, other skaters or spectators may be present in the facility before or after your booking.
Q: Does our group have to fill out waivers?
A: Yes. The group organizer must fill out our roster & waiver form a of minimum one (1) week prior to the first scheduled ice time. Should the organizer not wish to sign our group waiver on behalf of all participants, they are responsible for ensuring all participants have completed our individual participant waiver. All waivers and forms can be found on our website’s home page and main menu.
